Planted June 9, in the two beds on either side of the double gate, 10′ x 2′ each. Purchased eight 6-packs at Fred Meyer, total cost = $20.

  • Vinca (Rose), Abundant rose blooms on mounded habit. Blooms spring and summer. Grows 8-16″ tall. Prefers moderately moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly. Plant 10-12″ apart. Full sun.
  • Salvia (Victoria Blue), 8-10″ spikes of royal blue flowers. Removed faded flower spikes to prolong blooming. Blooms all summer. Grows 16-18″ tall. Best with soil high in organic matter. Must have good drainage. Will tolerate most soils. Water regularly. Plant 12-15″ apart. Full sun.
  • Lobelia erinus (Riviera Springtime Blues Mix), Masses of colorful, tubular flowers bloom on compact mounds of bright green foliage. Blooms in spring. Grows 5″ tall by 8″ wide. Best in cool, fertile, moist soil high in organic matter. Medium water. Plant 8-10″ apart. Part sun.
  • Verbena (Quartz XP White and Waterfall Mix), Flower clusters on compact, spreading, and mounded plants. Mildew resistant. Continuous color through cools springs and hot summers! Blooms spring through fall. Grows 8-10″ tall by 10-12″ wide. Plant in well-drained soil. Will tolerate poor soil and drought. Moderate water. Avoid watering in the evening. Plant 10-14″ apart. Full sun.
