A home-made version of Lara Bars, Apple Pie flavor!
2 oz. whole almonds
6 oz. dried apples
7 oz. pitted dates
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 oz. raisins
1 oz. brown rice protein powder (28 grams)
Put all ingredients in a food processor and process until of desired consistency. You may want to start with the almonds or they won’t be chopped as fine as the other ingredients.
Weigh out in 1 oz. chunks, roll in a small log and wrap in waxed paper. Put them all in a freezer Ziplock bag and freeze.
Makes 17. 90 calories; 2 grams protein; 2.2 grams fiber; 14.5 grams sugars; 18 grams carbohydrate, 1.7 grams fat.
